Electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre celebrates the 50th anniversary of Oxygene and his new album with a major European tour.
Jean-Michel Jarre has announced his international OXYGENE & BEYOND tour, which will kick off in Europe in autumn 2027. The concert series will arrive in Budapest on 29 September 2027, when the French electronic music legend will take to the stage at the MVM Dome. The tour pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the release of Oxygene, while also offering audiences a first taste of tracks from Jarre’s new album, expected in spring 2027.
OXYGENE & BEYOND invites audiences on an immersive journey into the composer’s distinctive world of space and time, while offering a glimpse into the next chapter of his creative revolution. The first dates will take place in major European cities, including London’s The O2 and Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena. Jarre will also perform in Katowice, Łódź, Gdańsk, Cluj-Napoca, Budapest, Berlin, Prague, Brussels and Barcelona, with multiple shows scheduled in Amsterdam and Paris. In 2028, OXYGENE & BEYOND will continue as a worldwide tour.
“This tour celebrates the beginnings, how it all started, while encouraging us to imagine what comes next. Because the adventure continues,” said Jean-Michel Jarre.
Throughout Jean-Michel Jarre’s career, the relationship between music and technology has always played a central role. He has released more than twenty studio albums, with over 85 million records sold worldwide, and has transformed iconic locations around the globe into monumental audiovisual stages through his concerts. His performances have included spectacular shows at the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids of Giza and the Forbidden City, setting several Guinness World Records along the way. His appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and his performance at the Coachella festival further demonstrate his enduring ability to connect with audiences across generations. The announcement of the OXYGENE & BEYOND tour will also take place as part of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), where Jarre, as the event’s guest of honour, will open ADE’s 30th anniversary celebrations with an immersive concert titled Oxygene & Beyond: A Sonic Journey Celebrating 30 Years of ADE.
The OXYGENE & BEYOND tour will be a major highlight of the anniversary year of Oxygene, the album that helped bring electronic music to a global audience. A 50th-anniversary edition of the album will be released on 20 November 2026 on vinyl, CD and Blu-ray by BMG. Alongside a new 2026 stereo remaster, the release will feature Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound mixes, as well as a selection of archival material.
On 5 November, Thames & Hudson will publish Jarre’s book, MACHINES by Jean-Michel Jarre: A History of Electronic Music, which explores the past, present and possible future of electronic music.
Jarre is currently working on a new album, and audiences in Budapest will have the opportunity to hear some of its tracks live for the first time on 29 September 2027, at the MVM Dome, alongside a celebration of the 50-year legacy of Oxygene.
