Neoton Finálé: Career-Summarizing Grand Concert by Neoton Família at MVM Dome in 2026
On January 10, 2026, Neoton Família will hold a career-summarizing grand concert titled Neoton Finálé at the MVM Dome in Budapest. The iconic band will perform its greatest hits from the past 60 years, accompanied by state-of-the-art sound and visual technology.
"The final act – which is always the highlight of a performance – can be interpreted in multiple ways, and indeed, it could mark the end of an era. However, one thing is certain: this will be the biggest Neoton concert ever," stated the three founding members, Éva Csepregi, Ádám Végvári, and János Baracs.
Neoton Família stars have headlined many major events, but what they are preparing now will surpass them all. On January 10, 2026, Éva Csepregi, Ádám Végvári, and János Baracs will take the stage at MVM Dome to present Finálé. The band members revealed to Blikk at Éva’s home in Szentendre that they will perform in the country’s largest indoor arena at the beginning of next year.
"We are preparing for the biggest Neoton Família Sztárjai concert of all time!" said the band’s singer and guitarist, Ádám Végvári. "It’s only March, but we are already planning intensely what will happen on stage. The core of the show is set because our audience always expects our biggest hits. We are planning to perform many songs in a different way than they are used to, and I wouldn’t even rule out the possibility of creating one or two new songs."
But why is the concert titled Finálé?
"The title Finálé can be interpreted in multiple ways, and indeed, it could mean the end of an era," added bassist János Baracs. "But I can tell you this: performing keeps us young, and retirement is not in our plans. Last year, for instance, we had 50-60 concerts, and during the busiest period, we performed seven times in eight days while traveling 2,800 kilometers. However, this production will be different in every aspect. It will likely be a one-time, unrepeatable event. To me, a grand concert is like a date with a beautiful woman – I try to prepare, show my best side, and anticipate it with excitement. If it turns out as I hoped, I will be happy. So, if we have a full house and great success, it will be a moment of catharsis for me."
Éva Csepregi held a highly successful career retrospective concert at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in January 2024. Now, in early 2026, another extraordinary performance awaits, this time in a new and even larger venue, the MVM Dome.
"I immediately loved the title because a finale is always the peak of a performance," said Neoton Família Sztárjai’s lead singer. "We will primarily be celebrating the songs: our greatest hits span six decades, and as we perform them, I always recall stories about their creation. When my son Dávid was little, we often invented special occasions to make everyday life more exciting. One thing is certain: January 10, 2026, will be a grand celebration in our lives! I am already preparing intensely, watching numerous concert films, constantly thinking about how we can push the Neoton journey even further. My son, who is the drummer of our band, sees this world through the eyes of the younger generation, and I am sure that many new, spectacular elements will await the audience at this concert."
Neoton’s history dates back to the 1960s. In October 1983, Ádám and Éva won the grand prize at the Yamaha Music Festival in Japan with the song Holnap hajnalig. At the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics, Korea, one of the official songs, was performed by Éva Csepregi and Leslie Mandoki. Since 2005, Éva Csepregi, Ádám Végvári, and János Baracs have been performing under the name Neoton Família Sztárjai, enjoying continuous success. (Source: Blikk)
